Arrests made in recent break-ins in Aurora

We are told that arrests have been made in the break-ins at Russell
Cellular, Ricardos Restaurant, and the Cutting Company.
We were told that several people were arrested after a shoplifting
incident at WalMart. When taken to the BlueBird Motel, where the
suspects were living, a cache of stolen merchandise was found from the
recent break-ins.

Breakins at Aurora businesses

900am - Christmas Morning- Aurora police are investigating break-ins at
several business on south Elliott Street.
From scanner traffic, it sounds like Ricardo's Restaurant, the Cutting
Company, and the Verizon store were broken into overnight.
The Cutting Company has been burglarized at least three times in the
past few weeks.
It also sounds like there might be property damage, like broken windows
and such.

Aurora Break-Ins

The Tri-County Sentinel (the new newspaper in the area) is reporting that an arrest has been made in a spade of break-ins at Aurora businesses.

However, I was told last night that another local business on south Elliott street was broken into again this week.

Police Chief and former City Manager Rick Batson says he'll retire soon.

When I moved to Aurora in 1991, it was still the old Mayor-Council form of government. Things have certainly changed since then.
